By : Dhie KeaZan's

According to ZDNet Asia website, the search giant has established to develop a new Do Not Track feature to its browser so the Chrome can tell sites when user don’t wish advertisers scrutinizing their behavior.
The approaching feature of Google Chrome transforms interactions between browsers and servers so users can inform via Do Not Track that they don’t want to share their browsing history to third-parties especially for targeted ads.

One of the officials from Google said in a statement that “We plan to implement Do Not Track across our browser and advertising systems by the end of the year.”
The world’s leading magazine journal, the WSJ first detailed that Google will integrate this feature to its Chrome this year, and it also reported that the iPhone maker is also scheduling to develop Do Not Track feature in its Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion version.
Google’s chief official of advertising department, Susan Wojcicki said that “We’re pleased to join a broad industry agreement to respect the ‘Do Not Track’ header in a consistent and meaningful way that offers users choice and clearly explained browser controls.”
Moreover, Do Not Track feature is already available in Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft IE and Apple’s Safari 5.1 developers’ edition and report claims that Opera is busy to develop it and it will be released with the upcoming Opera 12.

McAfee Mobile Security

By : Dhie KeaZan's

McAfee, the security solutions provider announces the update of McAfee Mobile Security, its security solution for mobile devices (Android). McAfee Mobile Security now includes a feature that allows users to lock applications requiring data connection, to minimize the risk of data confidentiality breaches.

"This new version comes with a redesigned user interface, and Applock feature" says McAfee.

This update is intended to address a security problem inherent to the use of smartphones: namely the fact that some applications on Android (e.g Facebook, LinkedIn, and Gmail) do not require to login at each sessions (even if the device is restarted).

"AppLock allows Android users to protect the installed applications from any abuse, locking them with the same PIN code as the one used for their McAfee Mobile Security account" says the editor

The solution, available for Android devices (smartphones and tablets), and BlackBerry (Smartphone), cost €29.99/year.

8 Best Free Antivirus

By : Dhie KeaZan's

1. AVG Anti-Virus Free

Best Free Antivirus
Anti-Virus Free from AVG is the best free antivirus software available. AVG Anti-Virus Free is a full-fledged antivirus and antispyware tool, includes an email scanner, link scanner, scheduled scanning options, automatic updates, and more. There is no need to pay for an antivirus program when the best free antivirus software in the world is just a download away.
AVG Anti-Virus Free works on Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000.
The huge number of premium features, frequency of updating, and install-it-and-forget-it aspect of AVG's Anti-Virus Free really do make it the best of the best free antivirus programs available today.

2. avast! Free Antivirus

Best Free Antivirus
AVAST Software's avast! Free Antivirus most certainly deserves to be on any list of the best free antivirus programs. avast! Free Antivirus has fully functioning antivirus and antispyware engines protecting your PC from threats from the Internet, your files, emails, and even instant messages.
avast! Free Antivirus supports Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000.
One big reason I included avast! Free Antivirus as a best free antivirus program is because of its "heuristics engine" which can detect previously unknown viruses and other malware. I also like the fact that AVAST has been making this antivirus product since 1988 and is often cited as the most installed antivirus product.
Tip: During the avast! installation, you're asked to install the free Google Chrome browser. It's not required so if you're not interested just uncheck the box. Also, you are required to register avast! to use it more than 30 days but registration is free and pretty simple. You'll also have to reregister once per year - again, for free.

3. Microsoft Security Essentials

Best Free Antivirus
Security Essentials from Microsoft is definitely one of the best free antivirus programs available right now. Microsoft is relatively new to the antivirus game but don't let that scare you - Security Essentials is a fantastic antivirus program that protects you from all sorts of malware, updates automatically, and is incredibly easy to use.
Microsoft Security Essentials supports Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Two of the biggest reasons I added Microsoft Security Essentials to this list of the best free antivirus software is because it's directly from Microsoft and also because it's very easy to see if you're computer is secure from threats: if the icon next to your clock is green, you're in good; if it's red, something is wrong.

4. Comodo Antivirus

Best Free Antivirus
Comodo Antivirus from Comodo Security Solutions is another excellent program, easily one of the best free antivirus options out there. As of this writing, Comodo Antivirus bills itself as the "Best Antivirus on the Market. Guaranteed." due to its proprietary Defense+ technology. Comodo Antivirus also protects you from several threat sources, just as most of the other best free antivirus programs on this list do.
Comodo Antivirus works on Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Comodo Antivirus is easily one of the best free antivirus solutions solely because of its Defense+ technology that, by default, assumes unknown files are threats instead of safe. That sounds like it might cause problems but Comodo Antivirus utilizes some other technologies to make the whole process silent but still very effective.

5. Avira AntiVir Personal

Best Free Antivirus
Avira AntiVir Personal protects you from viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, adware, and various other kinds of malware, making it a fully functional antimalware tool and certainly one of the best free antivirus programs.
Avira AntiVir Personal works on Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000. Avira also makes a version of AntiVir Personal for UNIX.
The scope of malware that Avira AntiVir Personal can keep you safe from is alone enough to make it one of the best free antivirus software programs but the heuristics and ease of use add to its value too. The only things I didn't like about Avira AntiVir Personal was the configuration you have to complete after installation which might be difficult if you're a computer novice.
Tip: You're asked to register during the Avira AntiVir Personal installation but it's optional. Just uncheck the box and continue with the install.

6. Panda Cloud Antivirus

Best Free Antivirus
Panda Cloud Antivirus protects you from several kinds of malware threats - viruses, worms, Trojans, adware, and more - just like all the other free antivirus programs in this list.
What makes Panda Cloud Antivirus one of the best free antivirus programs is that it does its job from "the cloud" meaning the hard antivirus work that typically slows down a computer is done on computers elsewhere on the Internet, freeing up your computer to work like it should and protecting you from malware even better.
Panda Cloud Antivirus supports Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Tip: Panda Cloud Antivirus tries to install a toolbar and set Yahoo! as your browser's home page during the installation process so uncheck the boxes before continuing if you don't want them. Neither are required to use Panda Cloud Antivirus.

7. Immunet Protect FREE

Best Free Antivirus
Immunet Protect FREE is a unique, cloud-based antivirus program, much like Panda Cloud Antivirus. Immunet Protect FREE protects your computer from bots, worms, viruses, Trojans, keyloggers, and spyware.
Immunet Protect FREE works on Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. You must also be connected to the Internet at all times.
I think Protect FREE from Immunet is one of the best free antivirus programs for several reasons: you never have to update it, it has completely free telephone based support, and it can be run alongside some of the other best free antivirus tools like AVG Anti-Virus Free, Microsoft Security Essentials, and avast! Free Antivirus, increasing your overall protection!

8. digital-defender Antivirus

Best Free Antivirus
digital-defender Antivirus isn't a popular antivirus program but it should be. It's certainly one of the best free antivirus software programs you'll find. It's a full antivirus and antispyware program and updates on a daily basis.
digital-defender Antivirus supports Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
The relatively small installation size, daily virus definition updates, and full antispyware features make digital-defender Antivirus one of the better tools in my collection of the best free antivirus programs.

Microsoft Security Essentials

By : Dhie KeaZan's

Microsoft Security Essentials is easily one of the best free antivirus program available. I like it because it's produced by Microsoft and because it's really easy to see if the program is protecting you as it should be.
Important: Microsoft Security Essentials provides constant virus protection, also called on-access or resident protection, for free. This means that Microsoft Security Essentials can completely replace antivirus software from companies like McAfee and Norton that charge for their software and for yearly access to updates.

Pros

  • Provides resident protection from viruses, spyware and other malware
  • Works with Windows 7, Vista, and XP
  • Virus definitions are updated automatically and regularly
  • Very easy to install
  • Does not attempt to install unrelated software

Cons

  • Does not include a silent mode (so you might be bothered during gaming)

Description

  • Microsoft Security Essentials includes fully functional engines to guard against viruses and most other kinds of malware.
  • Includes a very easy to use on-demand scanner for manual malware checks.
  • Windows 7, Vista, and XP are all supported operating systems for Microsoft Security Essentials.
  • Simple green/red indicator makes it very easy to see if you're protected.
  • Microsoft Security Essentials updates regularly to keep its malware knowledge current.

Guide Review - Microsoft Security Essentials

Security Essentials is Microsoft's first attempt at an antivirus program, free or otherwise. My take: they did an excellent job. It was super easy to install and even easier to understand and use. Microsoft Security Essentials even trumps most of the popular, expensive antivirus options out there.

avast! Free Antivirus

By : Dhie KeaZan's

avast! is so great because it's a complete tool, protecting you from threats from the Internet, email, your local files, and even from your instant messages!

Comodo Antivirus

By : Dhie KeaZan's
Comodo Antivirus is certainly one of the best free antivirus program available.
This is due mostly to their proprietary Defense+ technology that assumes an unknown file is a potential threat, making this free antivirus program almost 100% effective. Most other antivirus programs assume unknown files are safe and only concern themselves with files that have proven to be a problem.
Important: Comodo Antivirus provides constant virus protection, also called on-access or resident protection, for free. This means that Comodo Antivirus can completely replace antivirus software from companies like McAfee and Norton that charge for their software and for yearly access to updates.

Pros

  • Provides on-access protection from viruses and other malware
  • Virus definitions are regularly updated, in the background
  • Does not attempt to install unrelated software
  • Works with Windows 7, Vista, and XP
  • 64-bit versions are also available

Cons

  • Can only be used at home - no business use
  • Does not include a "Game Mode" (silent detection)

Description

  • Comodo Antivirus includes a full range of detection engines for viruses, spyware, rootkits, and other malware.
  • Includes protection from "all" infection sources like email, games, IM, etc.
  • Windows 7, Vista, and XP are all supported operating systems for Comodo Antivirus.
  • 64-bit program versions are available for those using 64-bit Windows operating systems.
  • Comodo Antivirus updates periodically to stay current with new threats.
  • Includes Defense+ technology that doesn't assume anything is safe, yet doesn't bother you with needless warnings either.

Guide Review - Comodo Antivirus

Comodo Antivirus is in a class of its own as an antivirus and antimalware solution. The fact that a free program with free updates can almost completely protect you from malicious software should have you replacing your current antivirus program as soon as possible, especially if you're (gasp!) paying someone for the one you have running today.

AVG Anti-Virus Free

Cons

  • Does not include a "Game Mode" (silent detection)

Description

  • AVG Anti-Virus Free includes fully functional antivirus and antispyware engines.

Avira AntiVir Personal

By : Dhie KeaZan's
Avira AntiVir Personal is one of best free antivirus software programs out there for various reasons, the least of which is just because it's free.
My favorite feature of Avira AntiVir Personal is the wide range of malware threats that it protects you from. I also like how simple the interface is and the lack of annoying "extra" software, like browser toolbars, that many free utilities like to push.
Important: Avira AntiVir Personal provides free on-access or resident protection, meaning it's keeping an eye on things all the time. Because of this fact, Avira AntiVir Personal can completely replace any antivirus software that you might be paying for, like popular products from McAfee and Norton. Some of those programs might be offering you other services but as far as malware/virus protection is concerned, AntiVir Personal does the same job... for free.

Pros

  • Protects from many types of malware, not just traditional viruses
  • Contains advanced heuristic tools
  • Works on Windows 7, Vista, XP, and 2000
  • Does not install browser toolbars or other unrelated software
  • Virus definition updates are automatic

Cons

  • Only home use allowed
  • No 64-bit version
  • Configuration wizard might be intimidating

Description

  • Avira AntiVir Personal protects you from viruses, adware, spyware, back-door programs, dialers, fraudulent software, phishing, and more.
  • An ability to choose when to start the antivirus program during the boot process is a valuable addition that I haven't seen elsewhere.
  • AntiVir Personal has an advanced heuristic engine (detects malware that it's not already aware of) which is a feature not always seen in free antivirus tools.
  • Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and even Windows 2000 are all supported operating systems.
  • Automatic updates keeps Avira AntiVir Personal updated with the latest threat information.

Guide Review - Avira AntiVir Personal

Avira AntiVir Personal is an excellent free antivirus choice. While not my favorite (see my AVG review or avast! review), it certainly has its pluses. As I mentioned above, the best thing about AntiVir Personal is the range of protection - everything from old fashioned modem dialers that used to rack up the phone bill to the most advanced Trojans.
While this might seem odd to mention, the configuration wizard, which I listed as a con, is actually quite handy as long as you know what you're selecting. For example, one option allows you to choose whether to start AntiVir Personal early in the Windows boot process, giving you greater protection, or later in the process, providing a bit less protection but speeding up your boot. Options are always good, right?
